Arad's Roots & His Vision for The Future

Being the son of an immigrant and the grandson and great-grandson of refugees, Arad has always felt a need to give back to society. He loves the Fox Valley community and is honored to serve on the Geneva Library Board, where he recently developed and implemented an overhaul of the library’s diversity, equity, and inclusion policies. Being elected to the Library Board at 19, his age has never served as an obstacle. In fact, it’s been his greatest strength. We need leaders with a direct stake in the future.

Passionate About Gun Violence Prevention

Arad was in state leadership for Moms Demand Action’s Illinois chapter, serving as a liaison with Students Demand Action. They worked to organize a robust advocacy plan that culminated in hundreds of Moms Demand Action volunteers showing up to Springfield to lobby their elected leaders on three bills needed to keep our streets safe from gun violence. Outside of gun violence prevention, Arad has also been named to the Kane County Climate Action Planning Team and looks forward to playing a role in moving the county towards effective climate action that preserves our community for generations to come.
